Instructions Fasting is not required for this test. Stay hydrated and take your medications as prescribed. Avoid B12 and folate containing supplements for 12 hours preceding the test. The MMA test can provide more information on B12 status as high levels of MMA are a more sensitive marker of vitamin B12 deficiency. |
