Bill Faloon, along with Saul Kent, founded Life Extension^® in 1980 with the goal of educating people on the latest breakthroughs in anti-aging and disease prevention. As its Technical Director, Mr. Faloon continues this mission by spearheading age-reversal research initiatives. Mr. Faloon has made hundreds of media appearances, including guest spots on “The Phil Donohue Show,” “Tony Brown's Journal” and ABC News “Day One,” and he has been interviewed by Newsweek and other magazines. He is author of “Pharmocracy: How Corrupt Deals and Misguided Medical Regulations Are Bankrupting America – and What to Do About It.” He is also a contributing author and editor of “Disease Prevention and Treatment: Scientific Protocols That Integrate Mainstream and Alternative Medicine,” now in its sixth edition.

Paul Gilner is the Chief Executive Officer for Life Extension®, which is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Gilner has over 35 years of experience in consumer retail and accounting, having worked previously at Sunglass Hut, Kenneth Leventhal & Co. and Rosenthal International. Mr. Gilner received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.

Chief Medical Officer

Steven is the Chief Medical Officer for Life Extension® and oversees medical and scientific initiatives. Prior to joining Life Extension®, Dr. Joyal worked in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently at Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute as the Group Director in Global Clinical Metabolic Drug Development. And prior to that, he worked at Abbott Laboratories/Knoll Pharmaceutical Company. Preceding his entry into the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Joyal was in a clinical practice affiliated with Brown University and Women & Infants Hospital. Dr. Joyal is a graduate of the Dartmouth/Brown program in medicine and was board-certified in Internal Medicine in 1997.

Dr. Swick is the Chief Scientific Officer for Life Extension® and oversees all scientific and product development initiatives. Immediately prior, Dr. Swick was the Vice President of Nutrition Science at Metagenics. Dr. Swick also has deep pharmaceutical industry experience, having performed both scientific and managerial roles at Pfizer for more than 17 years, where he was responsible for drug discovery and research for obesity and atherosclerosis. Previously he also served as an Associate Professor at the Nutrition Research Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Swick earned his Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and University of North Carolina Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Philip Smith oversees the research and development of every article that appears in Life Extension Magazine®. Mr. Smith has been the Editor-in-Chief of Life Extension Magazine® for 16 years. His background in national monthly magazines, graphic design and nutritional research along with a hand-picked staff of M.D.s, designers and editors helps produce an innovative and advanced magazine on life extension. Prior to Life Extension®, Mr. Smith was Managing Editor at GQ Magazine.

Dr. Michael A. Smith received his medical doctorate from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Smith practiced Internal Medicine and Radiology in Dallas, Texas in the early 2000s and then transitioned to the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries as an educator and consultant. Dr. Smith currently is the Director of Education and Spokesperson for Life Extension® and is the author of The Supplement Pyramid: How to Build your Personalized Nutritional Regimen.. He is also the host of Live FOREVERish, a podcast and Facebook live show for Life Extension®.

Dr. Crystal M. Gossard

Dr. Crystal M. Gossard is a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. She earned her Master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from Meredith College and her doctorate from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Dr. Gossard has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of nutrition, fitness, dietary supplements and integrative and functional medicine.

Rey Searles is the Chief Marketing Officer for Life Extension® and is responsible for marketing strategy and execution, communications and digital marketing. Prior to joining Life Extension, Mr. Searles developed extensive experience in marketing, communications and public relations, having worked for a variety of organizations, such as Freddie Mac, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, the Access Group, Smithsonian Institution and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. He received his Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from the University of Delaware.

Responsible for Life Extension’s partnerships and retail sales and operations.

Vice President of Business Development

Carolyn Bouchard is the Senior Director of Business Development and is responsible for Life Extension’s partnerships and retail sales and operations. Ms. Bouchard has extensive experience in the supplement industry, as she was responsible for overseeing corporate brands at Vitacost.com, served as a former lobbyist for the food industry and was an owner of multiple vitamin stores. Ms. Bouchard received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Villanova University.
